Terms of Service & Scope of Work

1. Scope of Service

South Shore Injector provides cleaning, flow testing, and reporting for gasoline fuel injectors. A standard service includes:

• Ultrasonic cleaning and backflushing
• Individual before-and-after flow testing (static and dynamic)
• Leak-down and spray-pattern inspection
• Replacement of external O-rings and micro-filter baskets where available for the injector family
• A written Injector Performance Report documenting measured results for each injector

Our service restores flow and spray performance on injectors whose bodies and internal components are fundamentally sound. It is a cleaning and testing service, not remanufacture of the injector body or its internal mechanical assembly.

Mail-in and local service

These terms apply equally whether you ship injectors to us or drop them off locally. For local service, unless we have specifically agreed otherwise in writing, you remain responsible for removing the injectors from, and reinstalling them in, your engine or vehicle. In all cases we service only the injectors you provide to us, not the engine, fuel system, or vehicle they came from.

2. Parts and Kits We Sell

We also sell fuel injector parts and service kits, including inlet filters, O-rings, seals, pintle caps, and complete rebuild and seal kits, for specific injector families. The following terms apply to every part or kit you buy from us.

Confirming fitment is your responsibility

We identify parts and kits by injector family and body style, and provide reference photos, specifications, or part numbers on each product page to help you match them. You are responsible for confirming that a part or kit fits your specific injector before you buy and before you install it. Superseding part numbers, running production changes, and multiple seal variants within one injector family mean that a catalog number alone does not guarantee fit. If you are unsure, contact us before ordering.

Sold for self-installation

Parts and kits are sold for installation by you or your qualified installer. We do not install them, we are not present for the installation, and we do not diagnose the engine or vehicle they are fitted to. Seals, O-rings, and filters are wear items; correct sizing, lubrication, seating, and installation are required for proper sealing and safe operation. Parts and kits are new unless clearly described otherwise at the time of sale.

3. Limits of Service

The following are outside the scope of our service. We do not perform, warrant, or accept responsibility for:

• Injector body repair or remanufacture. We do not repair, reseal, or restore cracked, porous, corroded, or otherwise compromised injector bodies, shells, or castings. A structurally defective body cannot be corrected by cleaning and cannot be made serviceable by us.
• Internal mechanical rebuild. We do not replace pintles, armatures, springs, coils, solenoids, or other internal components not listed in our standard scope.
• Restoration of unserviceable cores. Some injectors cannot be recovered to specification. Where flow testing shows an injector cannot be restored, we report that result; we do not guarantee that any given injector can be returned to a usable condition.
• Installation, tuning, or in-vehicle diagnosis. We do not install injectors or parts, and we do not diagnose the engine, fuel system, or vehicle they are fitted to.

4. Condition of Cores and Required Disclosure

You are responsible for the condition of the injectors you send or bring to us and for telling us what you know about them.

You must disclose known issues

Before or at the time of shipment or drop-off, you must disclose any known or suspected defect, damage, leak, or prior failure affecting any injector in your order, including any injector you believe may be leaking externally, weeping at the body, or otherwise compromised. If a specific injector is of concern, identify and mark it.

Pre-existing conditions

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear, defects, or contamination present when an injector arrives. Our service addresses deposits and flow performance; it does not create, and cannot cure, a structurally defective body or a worn internal assembly.

5. Testing and the Performance Report

The Injector Performance Report documents the measurements taken on our test bench at the time of service. It reflects bench conditions, controlled temperature, test fluid, and pressure, which differ from in-service conditions in an operating engine.

A passing bench result indicates the injector met our test criteria at the time of testing. It is not a warranty of future performance, of durability in service, or of behavior under sustained real-world fuel pressure, heat cycling, and vibration, which can reveal conditions that do not appear during bench testing.

6. Verification and Installation

You, or your installer, are responsible for verifying injectors and parts before and during installation. This applies both to injectors we have serviced and to parts and kits you have purchased from us. We recommend:

• Reviewing the Performance Report, and confirming part fitment, before installing.
• Not installing any injector or part you have reason to believe is defective, incorrect, or unsafe. If you are unsure about a specific injector, contact us and return it for testing before installation rather than fitting it.
• Confirming correct fitment, sealing, and fuel-system integrity after installation, and checking for leaks before operating the engine.

7. Limited Service and Product Warranty

Service

We warrant that the cleaning and testing services described in Section 1 will be performed with reasonable care and skill, and that the results reported reflect the measurements taken at the time of service. If you believe an injector we serviced does not perform as reported, contact us promptly and return the injector so we can test it. Where a serviceable issue is confirmed on our bench, our remedy is to re-service the injector or refund the service fee for that injector, at our discretion.

Parts and kits

We warrant that parts and kits are free from manufacturing defects and match their description at the time of sale. If a part is defective, or is incorrect due to our error, our remedy is replacement of the part or refund of its purchase price, in accordance with our Returns policy.

These warranties do not cover: injector bodies or internal components outside our scope; pre-existing or undisclosed defects; parts that have been installed, modified, incorrectly sized, or damaged after delivery; damage occurring after the injectors or parts leave our possession; the cost of installation, removal, diagnosis, or labor; or any injector or part installed contrary to the guidance in Section 6.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Our total liability arising out of or related to any order is limited to the amount you paid us for the service, part, or kit on that order.
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to engine or vehicle damage, loss of use, downtime, towing, labor, or diagnostic costs, arising from the use, installation, or failure of any injector we serviced or any part or kit we sold.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

9. Returns and Refunds

Returns and refunds on parts and kits are handled under our separate Returns policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: unused, uninstalled parts may be returned within 30 days, and we cover the cost of correcting any order we got wrong. Service fees for completed injector cleaning and testing are handled under the warranty in Section 7.

10. Governing Law and Acceptance

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. By placing an order, sending or bringing injectors to South Shore Injector, or purchasing a part or kit, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms and to the scope, disclosure, and verification responsibilities described above.
