Fuel Injector Cleaning Cost & Pricing

Fuel injector cleaning here runs $30 per injector for standard MPFI top-feed and $35 for everything else (side-feed, GDI, TBI, marine), plus a flat $15 round-trip shipping. Two-injector minimum, no diagnostic fee, no shop labor. A typical 4-cylinder set comes to $135 shipped both ways.

  • $15 flat round-trip shipping on every order. Prepaid USPS Ground Advantage label both ways.
  • 2-injector minimum service charge, even if you are sending fewer.
  • Optional shipping insurance at $2 per $100 of declared value (round trip). USPS Ground Advantage already includes $100 of default coverage on every shipment, so additional insurance is only needed for higher-value sets.

Pricing Examples

4 standard top-feed MPFI injectors $135 (4 × $30 + $15 shipping)
8 standard top-feed MPFI injectors $255 (8 × $30 + $15 shipping)
2 specialty injectors (the minimum order) $85 (2 × $35 + $15 shipping)
6 specialty injectors with $500 declared insurance $235 (6 × $35 + $15 shipping + $10 insurance)

What Your Money Actually Buys

That per-injector price is not just a dunk in a cleaning tank. Every injector we take in gets the full bench treatment:

  • Ultrasonic cleaning and backflushing to break loose the hardened deposits a bottle of additive can't reach
  • Before-and-after flow testing, static and pulsed, so you see the actual improvement in ml
  • Leak test and spray-pattern inspection
  • New O-rings and micro-filter baskets where available
  • A printed Injector Performance Report with your real numbers

Every order comes back with a report like this. Real before-and-after flow numbers, leak test, test pressure. Not a guess.

What changes the price

Two things move the number: the type of injector and how many you send.

  • $30/injector for standard MPFI top-feed. That covers most port-injected cars and trucks.
  • $35/injector for side-feed, GDI, TBI/throttle-body, marine, and powersports injectors. They take more work and different tooling.
  • $15 flat round-trip shipping on the whole box, no matter how many injectors are in it.
  • Optional insurance at $2 per $100 declared if you're sending a high-value set. USPS already covers the first $100.

Fuel injector cleaning cost vs. replacement

Cleaning almost always wins on cost. New injectors run $50 to $200-plus each, and that's before a shop charges you labor to swap them. A full set of four cleaned and flow-tested here starts at $135 total. Clean first, and only replace the one injector that testing shows can't be saved. More on that in what replacement really costs and cleaning vs. replacement.

Is this a "fuel system cleaning" or an injector flush?

Not the in-car kind. A shop "fuel system cleaning service" or a can of injector flush runs cleaner through the system while everything stays bolted to the engine, so the injectors never actually come off. We do the real version: the injectors come out, get cleaned ultrasonically and backflushed on the bench, and get flow-tested before and after. It costs a little more than a bottle of additive, and it actually fixes injectors that additive can't touch.

What mail-in costs

The same as dropping them off, because there is no drop-off. Shipping is a flat $15 round trip and we send you the prepaid label both ways. No diagnostic fee, no bench fee, no shop labor. The price is identical whether you are ten minutes from us in Weymouth or across the country. You box up the injectors, put the label on, and we handle the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does fuel injector cleaning cost?
$30 per injector for standard MPFI top-feed, $35 for everything else (side feed, GDI, TBI, marine). Round-trip USPS shipping is a flat $15 and a 2-injector minimum applies. A typical 4-cylinder set is $135 total. Optional shipping insurance is available at $2 per $100 declared (USPS already includes $100 of coverage by default).
Is it cheaper to clean or replace fuel injectors?
Almost always cheaper to clean. New injectors run anywhere from $50–$200+ each depending on the application, and that's before labor if you're having a shop install them. A full set of 4 cleaned by us starts at $135 total. Professional cleaning is the smart first step. If flow testing shows an injector can't be restored, then you replace just that one.
What's included in a fuel injector cleaning service?
Everything. Ultrasonic cleaning, backflushing, before-and-after flow testing (static and dynamic), leak testing, spray pattern inspection, new O-rings and micro-filter baskets (where available), and a detailed Injector Performance Report. Round-trip USPS shipping is $15 flat. Optional insurance available at $2 per $100 declared.
Is professional ultrasonic cleaning better than fuel additive cleaners?
They're not even in the same category. Fuel additives can help with light surface deposits if you use them regularly, but they can't reach hardened buildup inside the nozzle or pintle area. Ultrasonic cleaning physically breaks apart deposits using cavitation: microscopic bubbles that implode on every surface of the injector. If your injectors are actually dirty enough to cause symptoms, a $10 bottle from the auto parts store isn't going to fix it.
Can I send just one or two injectors?
Yes. The minimum charge is two injectors. A pair of standard MPFI injectors is $75 shipped ($60 plus $15 shipping) and a pair of specialty injectors is $85. You can send a single injector, you'll just be billed the two-injector minimum.
